BURNS RESTAURANT

Burns is a modern contemporary restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia, established in 2019 by Chef Andros Gunawan. It offers modern European cuisine made with locally sourced and artisan ingredients, accompanied by a selection of boutique wines and handcrafted cocktails.

At Burns, the menu focuses on utilizing locally grown and the freshest seasonal products to create dishes that are meaningful and respectful of nature while also being contemporary and refined.

Chef Andros chose our name after years of thoughtful consideration. “Burns” represents those little burnt bits on ingredients that add a bold flavor to the dish itself. Throughout his culinary journey, he adores crafting imaginative and daring dishes that leave a lasting impression on our diners.


CHEF ANDROS GUNAWAN

Chef Andros Gunawan was born and raised in Jakarta, the capital city known for its modern lifestyle.

Influenced by Western and Indonesian culture from a young age, he developed a culinary style that reflects these influences. Driven by his passion for cooking, he moved to Australia for 10 years to pursue his culinary dreams before ultimately returning to settle down in Jakarta.

In 2019, Chef Andros founded Burns, marking his first venture as an independent restaurateur. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, he courageously brought his culinary concept to life and continued to grow his business.

We are here to create restaurant that have timeless experience for all guests, partners and employee. The dream is simple: to create magical experience through our sustainability products, creative ideas and to make this industry more loveable.


MISSION

We believe that the art of hospitality is a connection between people. Our mission is that bringing people together with our warm hospitality, bold ideas to create memorable experience and becoming leading restaurant in this country.
